The General Data Protection Regulation, known as GDPR, is a privacy law introduced by the European Union. It sets clear rules for how organisations collect, store, and use personal data belonging to people in the EU.
GDPR gives individuals more control over their personal information. It allows them to understand what data is collected, how it is used, and who has access to it, even when organisations are based outside the EU.
The regulation comes into effect on 25 May 2018 and applies to any business that handles the personal data of EU residents.

We are also actively engaging with the suppliers of the systems and platforms we use. GDPR compliance is an ongoing focus, and our suppliers are progressing in line with the regulation. We will continue to monitor and review compliance as the 25 May 2018 deadline approaches and beyond.
